• You can use the destination guides, jobs, after-tax pay and cost-of-living tools without an account. What you type into them stays in your browser tab and is not sent to us.
• If you create an account, we store your name, email and any details you choose to add, so the site can work for your household. Everything beyond your name and email is optional.
• We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with marketers, advertisers or data brokers.
• We share your information with a partner only if you have said yes. Without your consent, it stays with us and the providers that run the site.
• ShresthaGlobal is run by a business registered in Faridabad, Haryana, India. Our servers are currently in the United States.
• You can download your data, delete your documents and sign out of every device from your account at any time. To close your account, email us.

In this policy, “ShresthaGlobal”, “we” and “us” mean the business, registered in Faridabad, Haryana, India, that runs this website. The information we hold depends on how you use it.

If you only browse and use the tools

The destination, salary and household you enter are held in your browser’s session storage so the tools can follow you from page to page. They are cleared when you close the tab, and they are not sent to our servers. Like any website, our hosting provider receives technical information needed to deliver pages and keep the site secure, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time.

If you create an account

• Sign-in details: your first name, optional last name and email address. If you use Google, we receive your name and email from Google. We never see or store a password, because there are none.
• About you (optional): phone number, city, country of residence and countries of citizenship.
• Your move (optional): what you would like to do, when you might move, places you are considering, who would come with you, your employment status, job title, industry, experience and education.
• Your household, only as needed to calculate your scenarios (optional): the number of people moving, the industry or type of job a partner or other family member has, and the age of each child so we can work out which school level or childcare applies. We never ask for the name of a child or of any other family member.
• Your costs (optional): everyday spending you choose to enter, such as food, transport and housing, so that comparisons use your real numbers.
• Preferences (optional): language, time zone, currency, units, and whether you are happy to receive product updates.
• Documents and photo (optional): files you upload to your private Documents area, and a profile photo. Documents are private to your account. A profile photo can be viewed by anyone who has its link, so choose one you are comfortable sharing.
• Security data: the sign-in sessions that keep you signed in.

If you write to us

When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the topic, your message and the page you wrote from. If you email us at hello@ShresthaGlobal.co, we receive your address and whatever you choose to send. Please do not send passport numbers, tax identifiers or other sensitive documents by form or by email.

If you subscribe to the newsletter

We store your email address, the time you subscribed and where on the site you signed up.

• To run your account: sign you in, show your profile and keep your documents.
• To reply to your messages and support requests.
• To send the newsletter, only if you subscribed or opted in on your account.
• To keep the site secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
• To meet legal obligations and to protect our rights if we have to.

Where the law asks for a legal basis, we rely on: providing the service you asked for (your account), your consent (the newsletter and product updates, which you can withdraw at any time), our legitimate interest in running a secure service and answering people who contact us, and legal obligations.

We do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects. The figures in our tools are estimates you can inspect, not decisions about you.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with marketers, advertisers or data brokers. That is a deliberate choice, and it is how we plan to keep it. There are only three situations in which information leaves us:

1. With your consent, to a partner

If a partner could help with your move, such as a professional we would introduce you to, we will tell you who they are and what we would share, and we will share it only if you say yes. Your consent is for that partner and that purpose, it is never a condition of using the site, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us. Withdrawing stops future sharing. It cannot recall what a partner already received, and the partner’s own privacy policy applies to what they hold.

2. With the providers that run the site

These providers process information for us, only to run the site, and not for their own marketing:

• Supabase, which hosts our database and handles sign-in, including sending sign-in codes by email.
• Cloudflare, which hosts the website, delivers it securely and stores uploaded files.
• Google, only if you choose “Sign in with Google”. Google’s own privacy policy applies to that step.

We may change these providers, add or remove integrations, and move to servers in other locations whenever we see fit. If we introduce paid features, a payment provider will process payments and receive the details needed to do so, and we may change payment providers too. When any of this affects how your information is handled, we will update this page and, where the law requires, tell you or ask for your consent first.

3. When we have to

We may disclose information if the law or a lawful order requires it, to protect people’s safety or our rights, or as part of a merger, sale or reorganization of the business, in which case we will tell you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different policy.

ShresthaGlobal is run by a business registered in Faridabad, Haryana, India. For now, our database is hosted on servers in the United States, and files you upload are stored with Cloudflare. Pages are delivered through a global network, so a request can pass through servers close to you.

Our team is based in India, so people there can reach the information we hold when it is needed to run the service and answer you. By using ShresthaGlobal you accept that your information is stored in the United States and handled by our team in India. We may change our hosting providers and server locations whenever we see fit, including moving to servers in another country. If we do, we will update this page and, where the law requires, tell you.

We use only what is needed to make the site work. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Because these are essential, there is no cookie banner. If we ever add analytics or anything optional, we will ask first and update this policy.

• Account details and documents: for as long as your account is open. You can delete documents yourself at any time.
• If you ask us to close your account, we delete your profile, documents and photo within 30 days, apart from anything we must keep by law. Copies in backups are removed as the backups expire.
• Contact messages: for as long as we need to deal with your request, and then for up to 24 months in case you write again about the same thing.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. We then keep a record that you opted out so we do not email you again.
• Technical logs held by our hosting provider: for a short period, as set by that provider.

You decide what to share, and you can change your mind.

• See and correct your details. Everything in your profile is editable in your account.
• Download your data. “Your data” in your account’s privacy section gives you a copy as a file.
• Delete your documents and photo from your account at any time.
• Sign out everywhere if you used a shared or lost device.
• Unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter, or by telling us.
• Close your account or ask a question about your data. Email hello@ShresthaGlobal.co and we will reply within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, to ask for your information in a portable format, and to complain to your local data protection authority. In India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you rights to access, correct and erase your data, to withdraw consent and to have a grievance heard. We will honor those rights wherever they apply to you.

Connections to the site are encrypted. Account data sits behind access rules that let each person reach only their own records, documents are stored privately and only served after we check who is asking, and sign-in uses one-time codes or Google instead of passwords. Access by our team is limited to people who need it to run the service.

We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards, and we keep the amount of information we ask for small. But we host your information with third-party providers, and no system, including theirs, is completely secure. You use the site, and decide what to share, at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for unauthorized access, loss or disclosure caused by our providers, by events outside our reasonable control, or by someone getting into your email or Google account.

If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

ShresthaGlobal is for adults planning a move. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. When you tell us about your household, an adult gives us the details needed to calculate a scenario, such as how many children are moving and each child’s age, so we can work out the school level or childcare that applies. We never ask for the name of a child or of any other family member, and we do not ask for children’s documents. If you believe a child has given us personal information directly, please contact us and we will delete it.

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top. For changes that matter to you, such as a new purpose for your data, we will also tell you by email or in your account before they take effect.
